Industry Partnerships
Industry Partnerships
We welcome industry partners who want to accelerate robust mobile autonomy. Partnering with the Mobile Robotics Group (MRG) gives organisations access to world‑leading research, unique datasets, and researchers experienced in real‑world robotic systems.
Current Industry Partners
We are grateful for the support and collaboration of the following organisations:
Why Partner with MRG?
- Cutting-edge research in SLAM, perception, state estimation, and large-scale autonomy and datasets
- Real-world deployment experience across diverse robotic platforms
- Access to talent — work alongside our exceptional PhD students and postdoctoral researchers
- Collaborative innovation aligned with real industry challenges
How We Collaborate
We offer flexible partnership models tailored to your organisation’s goals:
- Industry-Funded Research Projects: Targeted research and development projects with agreed deliverables such as algorithms, datasets, or prototype systems.
- Sponsored Studentships: Co-designed PhD research projects with shared supervision, defined milestones, and regular progress reporting.
- Internships & Placements: Host MRG students for internships or placements to explore practical applications of research within your organisation.
- Consultancy & Secondments: Short-term embedded collaborations to address specific technical challenges.
- Financial & In-kind Support: Direct financial contributions or in-kind support — such as sensors, robotic platforms, datasets, or compute infrastructure — that directly enable and accelerate our research.
- ORI Membership: A flexible membership programme within the Oxford Robotics Institute (ORI) that gives organisations access to the broader ORI ecosystem.
Custom arrangements are available — we are happy to discuss a partnership model that aligns with your strategic objectives.
Intellectual Property & Publication
We are committed to academic excellence and open research.
Intellectual property and publication terms are agreed in advance on a project-by-project basis.
Where appropriate, commercial considerations such as licensing or limited publication embargoes can be arranged.
