Shing Hei Rickie Chan

Rickie is a summer research intern (2026) at the Mobile Robotics Group of the University of Oxford, working with Daniele De Martini and Luke Robinson on robotics and autonomous systems.

His internship focuses on developing a miniature warehouse and a scaled forklift platform for research into autonomous warehousing systems. The aim is to create a practical experimental apparatus that can be used for further development and testing of autonomous warehouse technologies and algorithms without the cost, space requirements, and safety risks associated with real forklifts and full-scale warehouse environments.

Before joining the University of Oxford, Rickie completed his secondary education at Dulwich College. He is currently pursuing an MEng in Engineering Science at Oxford, specializing in Control Engineering.
